What happens if you gather good dogs, good people in the countryside on a Sunday morning?

Last Sunday, we hosted our very first Community Dog Walk and what a fantastic day it turned out to be!

We met fellow dog walkers, BCP members, and other local dog lovers from across the Wiltshire area at The White Hart in Ford. The morning began with everyone gathering in the car park to get suited and booted. True to British form, we were greeted with a bit of rain, but spirits stayed high and everyone was ready for the adventure ahead!

After handing out our walking maps, we set off on a beautiful circular route. There were a couple of steeper hills along the way, but a lovely surprise awaited us at the top! Neil and trusty Daphne the Defender were on hand with water for both dogs and humans, plus a well-earned tasty chew for the pups (sorry humans, your treats came later!).

We continued through open fields where the dogs enjoyed a good run, before looping back to the pub. By then, the sun had made a classic appearance! Many of us tucked into a pre-booked Sunday roast, while others relaxed outside with a well-deserved coffee in the warmth.
