Welcome to Bath Country Pets! We are thrilled to introduce you to our fantastic team, who make our business the special place it is today. Located in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, we strive to provide a unique and luxurious experience for dogs. Let’s take a moment to highlight each team member and share a little about us.
Emma and Neil – The Owners
Emma and Neil have lived in Shoe Cottage for 14 years. It was their dream to run a business from their home that offered something rare and innovative in the world of boarding for dogs. After two years of meticulous planning and design, Bath Country Pets was launched in 2018. Since then, we’ve added our boutique shop, spa, and online store, all with a charming country vibe. Our ambition is to be the Babington House for dogs!
Rhiannon – Hotel Manager
Rhiannon joined us at the very beginning as a work experience student while studying Animal Management at Hartpury College. She fell in love with the business instantly. After a brief departure to beautiful Falmouth to pursue a photography degree, Rhiannon returned in the summer of 2023 to lead our team. Her passion and dedication are truly inspiring. Rhiannon has a beautiful show cocker called Maisy, who despite her years is a whizz around the agility field.
Lulah – Groomer and Assistant Manager
Lulah joined us in 2022 as an apprentice and quickly earned her Animal Management qualification. Her artistic talent was evident from the start, and she swiftly moved into grooming. Now, as a qualified groomer, Lulah has been perfecting her skills with Canine Designs. She assists Rhiannon in the hotel and loves building warm relationships with our customers and their dogs. Lulah has a slightly cheeky French bulldog named Mr Gino.
Mae – Guest Care Assistant & Dental Specialist
Our eldest daughter, Mae, is a passionate photographer who finished her A-levels last year and has joined the team to learn the business. Her passion lies in dog dentistry, and she loves working with owners to achieve a healthier and more hygienic mouth through our specialist ultrasonic teeth cleaning services. Mae has a playful pug puppy named Roo.
Martha – Guest Care Assistant
Martha recently joined us and is a trainee teaching assistant. She has a deep love for dogs and is particularly interested in their use in classroom environments to help students with special needs and enhance learning in an stress-free way. Martha’s cheerful personality brightens our team. She has a cockapoo at home named Ozzie.
Marci – Holiday Helper
Our youngest daughter, Marci, has joined the team for holiday work. Having grown up with dogs of all shapes and sizes, she has a gentle and caring nature. A keen sportsperson, Marci is always up for the walking rota and has put quite a few miles on her trainers this summer break! She enjoys helping Lulah in the spa with washing and drying. Marci’s dog is officially Arthur, although she maintains he loves Emma (her mum)best!
Our Philosophy
At Bath Country Pets, we strive to create a “home away from home” for your furry friends. Our family home is on-site with the hotel, ensuring that our guests are never left unattended. We know how much each guest means to their family, and as soon as they enter through our gates, they become a member of ours too. We treat every pooch with the love and affection they deserve, making sure they have the best holiday imaginable!
Thank you for being a part of our journey. We look forward to welcoming you and your dogs to our wonderful facility. Stay tuned for more updates and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
