How to Register Your Dog with Bath Country Pets

At Bath Country Pets, creating a calm, respectful and enriching environment is at the heart of everything we do. To ensure every guest thrives in our unique, cage-free hotel setting, we have a careful enrolment process in place for all new clients.

The Registration Process

Step 1: Pre-Screening Questionnaire

Once you express interest, you will be sent a registration form to complete. This form captures important details about your dog’s health, behaviour, daily routines, and background. We ask that you return this within 48 hours so our team can pre-screen your dog’s suitability for our environment.

Step 2: Behavioural Assessment Day

If your pre-screening is successful, your dog will be invited for a day-long behavioural assessment at the hotel. During this visit, we will carefully observe their social skills, behaviour around other dogs, food manners, responsiveness to basic commands, vocalisation, and adaptability to a cage-free environment.

At the end of the day, you’ll receive a full written report with our feedback and recommendations.

Step 3: Trial Overnight Stay

If your dog has a positive assessment day, the next step is a single overnight stay. This trial allows us to observe how they settle into our evening and overnight routines — an essential part of life at Bath Country Pets.

In some cases, we may recommend additional ‘Settling Days’ between the assessment and overnight stay if we feel it would help your dog adjust successfully.

Step 4: Full Registration

Once your dog has passed all stages, we’ll create your personal online account, giving you access to our booking calendar for future stays.
